Have any advice on how to get a job?

I really need a job to support myself. I live in San Diego, CA and have less then a year of experience as a valet. I am young obviously, and am frustrated by the results of my search. I have a monster account, check out criagslist and simply walk into places to apply. What else can I be doing?Have any advice on how to get a job?
Goto your local community center or employment center they will have tons of jobs on classfieds. Places like charity help out centers, they'll have jobs too.


Goto university sites for help. Goto UC san diego , go in their student center see if they got post boards for jobs. pick up their campus newspaper or any periodicals they'll have classifieds inside.





You dont have any work experience, so for you to be looking for jobs on major websites like monster or craigslist might be abit hard.





Career advisor once said ';80% of jobs out there are usually not listed, it only spreads by word of mouth or past kept record of a database.'; You can just walk into the places where you want to work and ask them if they are hiring. They 'll usually say ';not at the moment';, but they'll ask you leave your contacts and sometimes you do get the call.


I got myself a job in the sony center that way.





Or worst comes worst if you still can't find a job and you hungry..you can rub your a$s with coconut oil in one of them cowboy night clubs in San diego then you get tons of tips from them hungry female audiences to get thru the week. But reserve this for your absolute last resort.....
