Hi, i just got hired from a job that does ';door to door'; routine. The thing is, im inexperienced and i would like advices from all you people.
Thanks.I want more advice about how to sell more products with the ';door to door'; routine.?
McCrackin is wrong. Door to door is not outdated. It's undervalued. Since it isn't common anymore, people don't expect it and don't know how to respond to it. You can use that to your advantage.
Be charming and quirky. Shake their hand, learn their name, and keep talking non-stop. Silence is deadly. Silence kills your momentum and gives them a chance to change their mind. Keep a constant chatter.
Most importantly, learn your product 1000%. Every time you encounter a new question that catches you off-guard, remember it and create a response to it. The first week will be very awkward and probably pretty slow, but you'll learn quickly and get good at it as long as you try to improve every day.I want more advice about how to sell more products with the ';door to door'; routine.?
Congratulations on your new job. It's obvious that you have talent and will excel at selling the products or services you represent.
One thing to check before you begin selling is learning about soliciting laws in the cities, towns, and region where you will travel door to door.
Some areas prohibit soliciting door to door and also does not allow you to place literature on doors, porches, or on vehicle windshields. If found soliciting by law enforcement, you could be fined, and no one will be responsible for paying the fine except you.
I do not know which department within towns is responsible for enforcing this law, so it may be wise to call or visit police stations to learn the rules or call the main telephone number for city hall and ask for the department that governs soliciting laws.
Aside from that, concentrate on each prospects' problem and how your product or service relieves that problem. The more you dredge up pain and how what you sell is the solution, the more successful you will be.
I hope that you find no laws that will stop your success. Good luck to you.

Just let me say that your sales method is outdated. The most important thing is a good first impression. Take care in how you look and how you present yourself. Make yourself friendly to your target consumer and try to relate to their situation. Once a general trust has been established then you can work towards your motive, or a sale.
