I suggest you first try and get a referral to a lawyer that someone knows previously or someone that they are familiar with. If that doesn't work, you can try calling your local bar society (if there is one) and if not maybe flip through the phonebook (as a last resort). Calling and asking for charges per hour is fine. In Asia, normally the first consultation (normally for the lawyer to get an idea of what you need to be advised on) is free of charge. Thereafter things will cost you.

A cheap and possibly reliable way is to search on the internet for your answer on what you can do and not do.

IMO, Generally if a lawyer is good they really don't need to advertise.

As for your possible question on what you can and or cannot sell, what u trying to sell? A suggestion is don't sell drugs, counterfeit things or things that infringe IP rights.Asking lawyer for advice, how to proceed and rates?
Look in yellow pages for a ';business'; attorney.

A free consultation will not give you much help.

A good lawyer (whom you want to be able to call upon whenever you have a question) will not give away their time for free.

Get ready to spend about $1,500.00 to start up a good relationship with an attorney who will really be able to help you. You do not want to keep bouncing around from one free consultation to another if you are serious about your business.
Most lawyers today have a free consultation.
Check out several attorneys, ask business associates for references. . .

Ask about fees, many give cheap, 10 minute consultation to start with, ask about hourly rate, billing, up front
