Can you give me advice on how to change the controls on Real Player for my computer?

I was using Windows Media Player for most everything and had no problems when all of a sudden Real-Player tries to open everything first and it wont open most applications either without me paying for a new version. I was happy with Windows Media Player and want to go back to it. Can anyone offer a way to correct this? Thank youCan you give me advice on how to change the controls on Real Player for my computer?
You will need to right click the file you want to play with medai player and then go to Open with then choose default program and select media player.
