Can sum1 help me with advice on how to make a steak at home like 1 in da steak house?

i want to prepare a very good steak with some gravy and also one without gravy on a grill. could sum1 helpCan sum1 help me with advice on how to make a steak at home like 1 in da steak house?
Flame grilled steak is very nice but my personal fave is to melt some butter in a pan and pan fry the steak until it is cooked as you like. Serve with a sauce (search the internet for countless variations - Diane is a good one) and although its slightly more unhealthy, it is extremely nice!

Here is an example:

Restaurants get different (higher) grades of meat than the general consumer, thereby making it impossible to get that steak house flavour at home. But all is not lost. Mix 1/4 c Soy Sauce 1 tsp Hot Sauce 2 cloves crushed Garlic 1 c leftover Tea(plain) Place in zippered baggie with steak. Marinate at least 1 hour per pound or all day. Grill as usual. Enjoy. Sorry I can't help with the gravy steak.
thing that can improve on a good steak is the grilling.

My preferred method is wood coals. Use wood chunks of Mesquite or Alder ( Hickory will work as well if you like the flavor ). Light ahead of time and let the wood burn down to a nice hot coal bed. You get a much hotter heat then with charcoal briquettes.

Rub the good steak ( Ribeye is my favorite ) with a bit of Garlic and Onion powder a couple hours before cooking and leave the steak out of the fridge ( but covered ) until it reaches room temp.

Put over the coals about 6 inches off and cook for 2 and 1/2 minutes and then turn 90 degrees to get the grill marks. Flip and repeat process.

with a great steak, mushrooms sauteed in butter may be all you need
marinate overnight %26amp; cook slow over a smokey charcoal fire
