If been living here with my dad for live 6 years now and I really want to live with my mom in Texas. Its not that I'm being abused or anything its just I love being with by mom and family in Texas than living here in WA my dad has already refused to allow me to move multiple times so I have to take legal action. What can I do?Im 16 and i want to move to in with my mom in Texas how can I make this happen? Need expert advice?
Try to get the information of your mom's lawyer and see if he/she can help you and let the court ask you where you want to live. I am sure they would think you are completely capable of deciding for yourself where you want to live. Good luck!Im 16 and i want to move to in with my mom in Texas how can I make this happen? Need expert advice?
Obviously there's a reason why your dad has primary custody. I'd need more information to give you the right advice. How about you call your mom, hint at it, and see what she thinks. If she doesn't sound optimistic about the chances of that happening, then you'll probably have to let the idea go b/c she has to be the one to fight for you to come to her, not the other way around.
Nonetheless, still try to give living w/ your Dad a chance. Sometimes finding new friends, activities, can take your mind off of whats going on @ home. Remember that you'll be 18 in two years, and can go anywhere then.
Your mom may need to file a petition to the court that she wants shared/partial custody. Hopefully they can come to an agreement - if they can't then the visitation/custody will have to be determined by a judge after they both present their cases. However, at your age they'll probably let you have a say in it. Good luck.
wow! this is exactly my husbands situation with his siblings who are triplets. they are living in washington and want to live with there mom in texas... how ironic is this.. anyways i would just talk to your dad about it, then your mom. talk like adults it will show you are old enough to make decisions
Uh, why isn't your mom handling it? She'd be in a much better position to fight a legal battle than you, a minor.
Turn it over to your mom.
You are only 2 years away to being 18. Won't that make you an adult? If so then wait 2 years then leave him. Legal action might take that long and it can be costly.
Well my parents are divorced and if your over 14 its ussually your choice. You need to make sure its OK with your mom first because that may be why hes not allowing you to move.
At age 14 you can choose who you want to live with.

I desperatly need some advice on how to get rid of my dry throat?
ok, EVERY night its hard for me to go to bed, i lay down and relax and the back of my throat gets dry, i have a humidifier and use it, i also drink water or milk or something before bed, and always have something to drink next to my bed, but 2 minutes after i drink it gets dry again, and it keeps me from getting to sleepI desperatly need some advice on how to get rid of my dry throat?
See your physician first of all. Try honey and water mixed together..but don't take this as a cure...You need to see a physician if it is as bad as you state.I desperatly need some advice on how to get rid of my dry throat?
There is a gum for extremely dry mouth called Biotene. It's for people who have all kinds of problems like sinusitis. There are 16 sticks of gum in a package and it cost between $2 and $3. A friend of mine uses the mint flavor. I think they may have one or two other flavors. Hopes this helps you out. I think they keep it in or near the Pharmacy department. I know you can get it at Walgreen's, and Walmart.
ha, same thing happens to me, like last night!
it like gags you or somthing it sucks.
I just suck on a caugh drop.
It is from the air quality, smoking, chewing gum, all those will do it to you.
i know, water does not work . but milk does
Try Thayer's Slippery Elm Losenges, they work like a charm. This herb (Slippery Elm bark) makes the mucous membranes slick and slippery, so the dry, stickiness abates and lets you rest. They dissolve really well, they're not hard like many cough drops or losenges. I feel that it's safe to use at bedtime, because it melts and doesn't seem like it would get caught in the throat. It's also good for strengthening the vocal chords, if you sing. Go to your health food or natural food store (herb %26amp; vitamin shop).
cough drops halls fruit breezers work for me
get a hummiderfier
Some things to consider...Do you smoke, drink excessively, or have you been exposed to chemicals at work, or in your home?
See your doctor, there are many causes for dry mouth or dry throat other than dehydration. Try to avoid milk, it can irritate the sinuses and produce mucus in the throat which can give you a scratchy, dry feeling throat. Throat losenges can bring some relief too. Drink water, and try hot tea with honey before bed until you can see your doctor.
May be you should try changing your sleeping position. And ask somebody to check out if you sleep with your mouth slightly open. You could gargle with warm salt water or mouthwash to reduce the inconvenience. You can find some good home remedies at http://ailments.in/sorethroat.html

Any tips on how to get better at pool and how to beat my boyfriend. All advice.?
I want to beat my boyfriend, but he;s to good, we made a deal , That if I win I can tell him to do anything I want for a week and If he wins , I have to wash and wax for a week, but any tips on how I can get better and win. THank. YouAny tips on how to get better at pool and how to beat my boyfriend. All advice.?
I often hear people give out generic advice like, ';practice a lot'; but what exactly are you supposed to be practicing? The fastest and most efficient way to improve at pool is to get lessons from a quality, certified instructor. If there is such a thing as a ';shortcut';, this is it. There are books and videos available as well, and some are pretty good, but they should be used as a supplement to formal instruction. Go to the BCA website to find an instructor in your area. A lot of it will boil down to just how strong is your desire to improve. If you only want to get better to win a bet, then I'll tell you right away that you're going to become frustrated very quickly. If you truly love and enjoy the game and are willing to dedicate some time and money, then the sky's the limit. Don't short change yourself when it comes to your pool game. Best of luck. as in other activities the only way to get better is to practice. However im sure there is a pool playing for dummies book. but like i said before if you feel like putting in the extra effort you should be able to win at pool
PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get down to about eye level. Make sure that you are holding the cue properly and hit the center of the ball. Make sure that you are holding the cue steadily. Try to get different angles on the ball to get it to go in a direction you want.
get a pool table
then practice A LOT
Practice is best. You need to be able to know exactly where your shot will go and where each rebound will impact
There is no quick way to get good, but if you take your time on every shot, and focus on that shot, it will help a lot. This advice is often given to experienced players as well, it seems to be natural that people want to get a shot over with and move on, also sometimes people get excited and rush a shot. When you really concentrate on a shot making it happen is natural.
Women have the ultimate tool of distraction. Use the natural assets that God has given you.
Ooh, you two are rough. It's good if you can hit hard, make a good angle to hit the ball in the hole and get near the other ball you want to hit, jump the white ball over the other ball, and make a good angle of reflection on the ';walls';. If he is that good, you might need to search Yahoo!
whack him with the cue and beat him whilst his crippled

I am looking for advice on how to store cask ale, and tapp it etc. any sites?
metal or wood the rules are the same, you need to lay it 3 days before using, that means put it in place in the cellar thats its going to be drawn from, secure either side with wedges and one at the back so that it tilts slightly forward at about 15 degrees. It is better if elevated at least 10 inches from ground level or more.Once sited you need to open up the plug on the top and put in a breather plug, its like a bit of dowling but has holes in it so the beer can breath, dont push it in too hard. After that you can tap the beer, brass ones are best. Look down the tap and align the handles to the closed position, place tap over end of cask and hit hard with a wooden or rubber hammer, try to do it in one or two hits, once tapped release the pressure by pouring a bit into a jug, close taps and leave for 2 days minimum. Each day open up breather plug for an hour then replace.....dont bang the barrel at any time and you should have nice clear beer.
sorry dont know any sites.

Seeking Health Advice: I have a problem, I love cats but I'm allergic to them. How can I cure my allergy?
I don't get rashes but I get itchy in many places. My nose starts getting runny. My eyes may get red if I scratch it. It's a curse that I am determined to overcome.Seeking Health Advice: I have a problem, I love cats but I'm allergic to them. How can I cure my allergy?
Recently, I've been suffering from some of the same problems due to my animals.
I have found that frequent vacuuming with a dust mask is necessary. I brush the cats with a de-shedding tool outside and rinse them off with water to eliminate more dander. There are two Hepa air filters in the house and whenever the cats want to go outside I encourage it. Also by not allowing them into your bedroom, it helps eliminate dander in the room most people spend the most time in.
There are other solutions that can be used in conjunction such as claritin daily and/or nasal sprays that your doctor can prescribe. There is an attachment to a link that suggests cats with darker hair are linked with more allergic sufferers than lighter colored kitties. Male kitties sometimes are more disturbing for me personally.
All of this creates high maintenance kitties but if you are determined then it may be worth it. Good luck.Seeking Health Advice: I have a problem, I love cats but I'm allergic to them. How can I cure my allergy?
You cannot cure an allergy but, you can control it. Another point in fact: You can wash the cat with a shampoo for this every three or four days, the allergy is in the dander of the cat, not the hair.
If nothin's figurin out, the best way is you can have artificial cats......Ya ! I mean the ';Soft'; toys.
You just need to put life in'em...The soft hair will make you warm and u can get drowned in'em.
I have cat allergies as well as many others, and have been on allergy shots (with little improvement) for over 5 yrs. Basically, I'm on Singulair and Zyrtec (which is now OTC), but you have to take them everyday. It will get rid of the itching and vacuuming is a must. If you can get a hepa air purifier, that would help. I just won't get rid of my cat for any reason, thereby, I live with her and my allergies as best I can.
If you love cats, don't let allergies get in the way. There are ways around them.
you cant
I am allergic to cats too, but I've had loads of them. When I get a new cat, then I have an allergic reaction to them for a few days, then it goes. However, I am only desensitised to that particular cat (and any others I am constantly exposed to). A 'strange' cat, however, will set me off sneezing just as always.
I would see if it is possible to 'test drive' a cat for a week or so. If you get desensitised to it then great, otherwise you can return it and you are not stuck with a homeless cat.
it is the cat fur get a fur-less cat they are ugly but still a cat

Does limbaugh ever give advice on how to kick a drug habit or lose weight on his show?
The best question of the day!!!!!!!Does limbaugh ever give advice on how to kick a drug habit or lose weight on his show?
Yeah .... him and Dr. Phil get together every now and then to dispense marriage advice too.....another topic neither know a damn thing about!
I loved his rants about how first time drug offenders should get MANDATORY jail time.
Then he gets busted with illegal pills.
WHOOPSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Uh, what I meant to say was........first time drug users should lawyer up, hire high priced legal eagles to keep my sorry bloated butt out of jail. !!! Yeah! I meant those OTHER first time drug offenders........not ME!Does limbaugh ever give advice on how to kick a drug habit or lose weight on his show?
Don't you people have any pride Zogby ran a poll of Obama supporters and they were the most ignorant, uninformed group that you have ever seen or heard you need to watch some of the footage. Then you would probably stop posting completely UNLESS Zogby was correct in his findings
Nope! He calls Opie Windbag for that because according to the Globe, she's a Coke head? Maybe she should be Obama's Secretary of Health and Sniffy Services? LOL You libbies crack me up....get it, CRACK! LOL!!!!
That would require him to admit he has a problem in either area. He's too busy telling the rest of us what's wrong with us to try and fix his own problem
Obama can probably help on the drug issue.
He has kicked a drug habit. What's Obamas excuse? He still chases that old dragon, every chance he gets.
No. But he does make fun of democrats who have used drugs or have a weight problem.
I don't know... I don't listen to cheerleaders of any ideaology. I never went to pep rallies and I don't intend to. Its boring and predictable.
Let's listen today! Guess what? Rush still hates liberals! Wow! What a shocker! God, I am glad I didn't miss that!
Admitting to a drug problem, are you? I can give you a couple resources.
He's done fine in the business he's good at...getting under Lib's skin.
He's very good at that.
He should consult Cindy McCain on the drug topic.
Hippo Oprah has the monopoly on Diets.
I think he's too busy making millions at the expense of silly liberals.
lol, no, but he seems to give his opinion on everything else.
rush attacks... solutions are for pansies.
I don't think so, he is a political commentator not Dr. Phil. You do realize that millions of Americans have addiction and weight problems, don't you? I find it fascinating that Democrats feel the only way to discredit someone who disagrees with them is to attack that individual with personal issues. Are you proud of yourself?
No it is a political show. Glad to see your intolerence hasn't gone away. Tell me, how is it living in bigotville? Do you have a black KKK style hood to go with that prejudice?
That's not why he's on the radio. He's there to blast the liberal loonies!
He could talk to Obama, how did he kick his coke and weed habit?
Better to not give it than be like fat Oprah and give it all the time in between twinkee fits.

Workout Beginner Here! Any advice on how to deal with this HORRIBLE muscle soreness?
This pain is starting to discourage me! How can I work through this?Workout Beginner Here! Any advice on how to deal with this HORRIBLE muscle soreness?
Just keep going. Typically, the soreness is worse 2 days after you work out...not the very first day after. The best way that I've found to relieve soreness is drink a TON of water, and work out again. You are going to be very sore the first few times, its a given. Your muscles are literally tearing and rebuilding themselves. It's good though, dont get discouraged, it will get a little bit less painful every time. Your doing good for your body. Keep it up!!!Workout Beginner Here! Any advice on how to deal with this HORRIBLE muscle soreness?
when your starting out; dont go all out and push too hard or you'll hurt youself!!
There are muscle creams and heating pads to relax them if you are pushing them but you shouldnt need them --
workout every other day or maybe just 3 times a week to give your muscles a day or so to rest. But believe me it will pass and you will feel great and know that it was all worth it when the pounds start coming off %26lt;3
hope it helps
whatever you do dont stop working out! give your body a day of rest. the day after, work out but half the intensity and make sure that out you stretch out afterwards. If you are really hurting, ice packs should ease the pain. welcome to fitness world! :)
Wow-- sounds like you are really believing that old adage of ';no pain, no gain';....
hehehe
My suggestion is to be a little less brutal, to begin with.
And then to do the following:
(1)Keep hydrated. You don't have to drink enough water to drown a camel, as some might suggest, but do eat more fresh, ripe, juicy, organic fruits and raw veggies. These will definitely help with the 'cleansing' that is going on (the pain is partly your body releasing the lactic acid from your muscles... all those years of eating dairy and meat and other high acid foods).
(2)Keep your muscles warm. Ask any athlete to explain this.
(3)Have a nice warm post-workout soak in a real sucky combination of stuff that pleases you... how about taking a 1/2 cup of Epsom Salts (buy at the drug store) and adding about 10 drops of pure (unadulterated with solvents that is) essential oils such as Lavender or Sandalwood. Put some Panaway on muscles that are really achey... or Relieve It! (very warming and pleasant-- not at all like Absorbine Jr. or other linaments).
(4)If you come home with aches from the gym, do immediate hydrotherapy icing... place a styrofoam cup of water in the freezer before you leave for the gym. Peel it back as needed, and rub in small, contintuously moving circles on the painful parts for seven minutes (no more, no less). Then warm up the muscle with a warm washcloth, then gently massage with Virgin Coconut Oil. The bright red color indicates 'circulation' which =healing.
Enjoy your new muscles!

you don't want to be a weightlifter right? lol you can still keep working out, with consistency the pain will subside. However, be sure that your pain isn't severe and you haven't torn anything. If it is very difficult to engage in normal acitivities (like going up and down the stairs without using the railing or wall as a crutch) then it would be wise to take a couple of days off. After you are back to normal, workout but not as intensely as you did before. Try half of whatever gave you pain and work your way back up. Oh and Tiger Balm (found in any drug store) is great for sore muscles, just don't ignore dabilitating pain!
And, warm up your muscles with a light jog (gets your heart rate up too) before and also to cool them down after. Don't forget to stretch!Good luck!
You're doing too much...back off...some minor soreness is normal but if you are in great pain, enough to discourage you from working out, you're over doing it...
Not knowing what you are doing, how much, or for how long, it's tough to be more specific than that...
Just take it easy, and don't work the same muscle group 2 days in a row...focus on a different muscle group(s) each day (in addition to your cardio) and let the one(s) from the previous day rest...that's how they get stronger...
Keep going, just lighten up. You should go heavy earlier in the week, then light later in the week. The soreness is caused by the buildup of lactic acid in your muscles. This is the sign of a successful workout. When your muscles work hard enough, they burn energy that causes lactic acid to build up. If you keep working out, but lighten up, the blood flow to your muscles will increase, removing the lactic acid. The pain should disappear within a week or two. Stretching will also help. Whatever you do, do NOT lounge around; this will only make it worse.
Not much you can do, but you can try contrast showers (going from cold water to hot water), light exercise and stretching to stimulate blood flow, and over the counter pain relievers (last resort!).
The intensity of soreness will decrease once you get used to exercising.
Be sure to strech before and after you exercise because the pain may be coing from u not streching properly or enough... It is normal to be sore but after a week or so your body should start etting used to it!
taking a hot bath helps you soothe your sore muscles.

Advice on how to rid emotions?
I can't stop thinking about this guy I dated.
He really hurt me. It seems as though I can help people but yet, I don't know how to help myself on this...
How can I forget, like HIM.?
I just want the feelings and pain to be gone already.
I feel stupid for missing him but I love him.
I wanna tell him that i just LOVE him and miss him and am always thinking of him.Advice on how to rid emotions?
You will never forget him but you can move on from it. I was in your shoes and i got a piece of paper and i wrote everything that i was feeling. Then i went to a cliff and screamed i am releasing you i am free and i threw the paper. Then i started to go out and meet new people. Some people are only meant to be in your life for a little bit. All you can do is learn and move on. Something better is out there and when the time is right it will happen. Just surrounded yourself with your friends and let time work it out. Advice on how to rid emotions?
i'm in the same situation.
all my friends were telling me just to tell him
what was going on and how i felt, even though
i knew he was like in love with my best friend.
i told him, and he understood everything, and was just
like. yeauh, i know you've liked me for a long time,
but everytime we date... it doesn't work out.
i think we should just be really good friends.
soooooooo i would be prepared for heartbreak.
but, it'll be fine. time heals all wounds.
or that's what i'm hoping.
good luck %26lt;3
you can't control how you feel ..when u love someone its very hard to get over them.the best thing for you to do is try and focus on something else ..take your mind off it ..spend time with friends and family i wish you the best i know how you feel
Girl, I am in this SAME EXACT situation. But post up what did he do to hurt you? Then I can tell you how to forget about him.
No miracles here. Time is the only thing. Spend time doing things you love.
find a new flame
without more details, thats the best i can do.
If he really hurt you like you said then you deserve better. If he feels the same way about you that you do him then he will come after you. If he isn't trying to be with you then you should move on and date other people. Eventually if you find the right person then the thoughts about him will change because you will compare how he treated you to how the current one does treat you. Good luck.

How do I become more sociable? Please give me advice on what to do?
I mean I am very sweet and caring but it seems ppl take advantage of that and when they do they see the bad side of me... i mean if the person is nice they will receive the same back from me... but I really want to be able to talk to ppl I'm really not the time to approach and i am very quite what should i do any pointers pleaseeeeeee!!!How do I become more sociable? Please give me advice on what to do?
Don't worry about it, if ur really sweet, it's pretty hard to hide it. :)
If people take advantage of you, then stand up for urself, but in a non-offensive way. If they really get annoying, don't be afraid to tell them that.
Maybe you're surrounded by the wrong type of people. When you find people that are compatible with you, talking with them would be as easy as anything. Find people to talk to that have the same interests as you, are nice, etc...There are friends for everyone, and if you feel like someone isn't meant to be your friend, don't force yourself to talk to them.
Some tips: How you present yourself is how people see you. Act confident. Don't be afraid to say what's on your mind, whether it's a joke or an opinion. If it comes out stupid, laugh it off. Everyone has their moments. Keep a positive attitude. :)How do I become more sociable? Please give me advice on what to do?
The best thing you can really do is try to relax. I'm a lot like you,I'm a very nice person but I'm also quite shy. So I just try to come out of my shell a little more each time.I know it might seem really daunting but it's just something you'll have to do if you want to over-come your shyness. Just remember, anything is possible if you want it badly enough. I hope this has helped a bit. Good luck and best wishes for the future x
Well, people can't really give you advice on how to talk to people?
All you have to do is in gage in a conversation with another person. Make it interesting, and keep the conversation flowing. If your too nice, and they seem to take advantage of you tell them to stop. Or just overall, stop talking to that person, and move to another person.
sometimes it takes more than being nice.
you can become closer to others when you open up to them on past experiences and feelings. itll make you seem like the grounded person you are and they can feel like they could open up to you.
if your quiet then use that to your advantage. you can be quiet in a sort of interesting way. like...make up for it by smiling and being cute and flirty. make sure you take care of yourself and appearance. itll make you seem more approachable. but dont change yourself because then youll make friends who like you for who you are :)
girl i am also very sweet and caring.
but people have never exactly taken advantage of me seeing my bad side.
honestly just don't be afraid of who you truly are.
if you love music.. join the band, join choir.
if you love to draw.. join art.
if you love to act.. join theatre.
what you really need to do is put yourself out there, do the things you love, and get involved.
figure out what interests you and actually do something that relates to that.
i am a very sweet person who is known as ';the nicest girl'; to almost everyone in know.
and yet.. i am also the most involved that they know.
i'm in the band, i'm in a play, i volunteer.
go out there, and do something bold.
something that would really change your life in a good way. :]
good luck!
I Used to be really quiet when i was younger, but once i got older i realized that sometimes you just need to be yourself. It doesnt matter if ur sociable, if you just be yourself then people will start to notice and before you know it, you'll instantly become a little social butterfly lol :)
I Hope that Helps :)
Me too, I guess.
I got sick of people taking advantage of me, so I made sure to try not to show that I trusted anyone. Then a whole load of them got sick of me being a ';cold hearted b!tch'; and ditched me. But the ones that stuck around... now they're good friends. I like those ones.
At the end of the day, if you're quiet, you're quiet. That's not gonna change too easily. It's a part of you.
You have to be more convifident in yourself. Every day by looking in the mirror and saying 1 thing about what you like about yourself make u more happy in your skin. Be more open to people even asking for a pen or somthing starts a convo with them don't be scared to talk to people
okay, have you tried drama classes? they really help some people become more confident and therefore more sociable. I would also suggest you join a club or organization so you can meet new people who like what you like.
I have the same problem.

To parents of adult children, how do you dish out advice to your grown child?
I've got a ';grown'; stepdaughter who gets really defensive sometimes when I give her advice. I try to be as diplomatic as possible, but sometimes I think I must touch on sticky subjects, either that or I'm not as diplomatic as I thought.
So do you give advice to your grown children, or do you just stay out and let them figure things out for themselves?
I can give details about this particular instance if you like.To parents of adult children, how do you dish out advice to your grown child?
If she asks for advice, she probably won't be too defensive. Also remember that people tend to seek out validation and not advice even though it comes across like a question. It took me a while to realize friends of mine were doing that until I realized how defensive they got or that they went ahead with whatever it was, against what advice I had given them.
If she's not asking for advice, try not to dish it. Let her figure it out on her own. Sometimes they have to fall flat on their face to learn a lesson. To parents of adult children, how do you dish out advice to your grown child?
I find that the hardest part of giving advice to grown kids is that they rarely ask for it. When they actually ask for your thoughts on something then they listen otherwise they usually feel that you're telling them what to do and then they get defencive.
I find when my son tells me something which sets off alarms, I just say something like....oh wow, keep you head up on that one Bud, because this or this or this might happen. Maybe you should try this or this instead......Sometimes he takes the advice and sometimes he doesn't but at least he was warned.
That's all you can do really. Point out consequences and offer other options then leave them to make the choice and try to be supportive of whatever choice they make.
If they say something like...why do you always try and tell me what to do? You just reply by saying...I'm not telling you what to do dear, you're a grown up and that's you decision to make. I'm just trying to help you see all your options because I've been through it before and this is your first time.
Good luck.
Well if you're approaching in her in any manner in which you've phrased this question, then she probably thinks you're speaking down to her, belittling her, and treating her like a child.
Treat her like an adult, let her know you are only trying to help and you only have her best interests in mind, and most importantly, listen.
All my advice to my adult children starts out with the same sentence....';Well you can take my advice or not, But.....'; Then when I am done I usually say, ';Now, you can do what you want.'; Most of the time, my kids will listen and they might even take my advice. My son jokingly says things like, ';Just nod and smile.'; Grown kids will do what THEY think is best and I just try not to do the old...';I told you so'; routine when things don't work out....even though I would LOVE to. If I have raised them correctly I can only hope they will think things through and make the right decisions. If they don't....Oh well, better luck next time.
Reddevil you know we all as parents have differculties with our children ,I agree with you that you can be diplomatic with them but If she can fixed the problem herself , then tell her to go ahead and fix it , but before she does that just say to her ';look i am here to help you not to hinder you would you care to communicate with me as to what the problem is'; If she says no i can fix the problem ,then do not close the door on her , Just say I am here for you , and if you want to chat about it , adult to adult , then lets do it that way . What you do not do is close the door on your own children, at least with what i have just told you ,You are leaveing it to her to come and chat to you , If you close the door on her Reddevil then she will think that you do not care for her.
i cant say much....m just 20....
but i feel my parents dont understand....
i dont mind the getting good advice...but the advice often seems soo alien...i mean almost impossible in this world...my sister(age 34) does it much better...so i think its just the generation gap.
admitting mistakes is hard for anybody...so she can get defensive.
but i think u should talk to her dad and tell him to talk to her if ure not close to her...as the situation is a lil complicated
parents need to get more of an insight of the trends and norms these days among ppl our age.
i dunno if u will find this any helpful...but i was just presenting ur daughters thoughts (probably close)
I thumbs Harley up 10 more times if I could because she hit the nail on the head.

What is the best advice for a upcoming actress trying to make it and get noticed how would a person start?
i am working on acting but sometimes wish i had some guidence on how to start can anyone helpWhat is the best advice for a upcoming actress trying to make it and get noticed how would a person start?
Well, what are you doing right now? You should be in classes and auditioning for everything you can to increase your experience and build your resume. Success doesn't happen overnight, for many actors it can take anywhere between 5-10 years to become a ';working'; actor, so be willing to take it slow and put the work in because at the end of the day, if you don't have the talent (or in Hollywood is your goal, the ';look'; in place of talent, in some instances), you won't be successful no matter how hard you try.
In addition to your classes, begin doing research on your own. Unfortunately, this isn't an industry where someone's just going to pop out and give you a magic formula for how to be successful. A lot of it (finding jobs, marketing, etc), especially when you're starting out, has to be done on your own. So, get as knowledgable as possible. Check out some of these books on the biz:
Breaking into Acting for Dummies
How to be a Working Actor - Mari Lynn Henry
How to Sell Yourself as an Actor - K. Callan
If you're under 18, there are also numerous books about child acting.
But for now, don't have have your goal be ';to be discovered'; or something similiar, becuase in all liklihood it won't happen right now, expecially if you don't live near NY or LA , so you won't even have access to the industry.
Keep taking classes and doing shows. Do your research about the industry. If you're looking at colleges and are considering a theatre major, research those as well to see which ones you like.
As far as how to get noticed, that's where the marketing comes in. Get a lead in a show. Send out postcards to agents and CD's to come and see you. Get into a student, short or indie film where they will hopefully have a screening. Again, send out postcards. Keep repeating every time you have a new project. This tells the agents that you are in demend and should be signed.
Good luck! What is the best advice for a upcoming actress trying to make it and get noticed how would a person start?
Well you audtion for everything you can find and try to do as many real stage productions and film as you can to build your resume.
Classes and learning the craft is an ongoing process which is essential but the business has a lot to do with who you know and your reputation. So...network network network. Talk with other people in the business and try to hold on to any connections you have. People are always more willing to hire someone they know (even if its through someone else) than a complete stranger.
Also, don't go to any charm school. They are scams. aka casablanca, etc
Depends on how old you are. If you are over 18, then most of the info above is ok. If you are under 18, the best advice is to get your parents working for you, because you cannot do anything without their consent, that's the law.
I would advise you to get hungry for information; the right information that can help you and go get it. It's out there, but there are also a lot of alternative motives and scams so be careful.
There are some good websites, books, teachers, other actors who really want to help people. Some of them are here on answers and answer questions regularly.
I'm an actor and author and motivational speaker and have built a website with a lot of free information for actors with the objective of doing just that, giving guidance.
Have a look at the following page link. I created it especially for teens with questions just like you have: http://www.actingcareerstartup.com/teen_…
Just remember though that all the information in the world is nothing if you don't act upon it!
Good luck!

Stupid husband did burnout now car impounded by police need advice on how to get back car?
First make sure the police have no holds on the vehicle, call them and ask, and ask where the vehicle is impounded. Gather up your proof of ownership (title or registration in your name), proof of insurance for the vehicle, and bring along your driver's license. With that in hand, go to the impound lot and pay the impound fee to pick up your vehicle. If you show up after hours, or on the weekend it will be more of course. Call the impound yard first to find out their hours and let them know you are coming after the vehicle.Stupid husband did burnout now car impounded by police need advice on how to get back car?
after you finish beating his ***... call the police station and ask how you can get it backStupid husband did burnout now car impounded by police need advice on how to get back car?
First pay the impound fee. Second get a new husband.
Oklatom is dead on the mark -- give him the points.
But I gotta add that it's about time to trade in the pinhead hubby!
trade in husband for car
Call the police station, find out where your car is impounded. Bring proof it is your car too (if it's only in his name your screwed), plenty of money (police impound has higher rates), and any other paperwork they say.
Good luck

My 3 months old hp laptop screen has broken, Can anyone pls advice, how to get it rectified economically ?
If the warrantee covers the broken screen, you are in luck, otherwise the words ';laptop'; and ';economically'; do not go together. The LCD screens are expensive, and the process of swapping them is a pain. FInd an authorized HP repair facility. My 3 months old hp laptop screen has broken, Can anyone pls advice, how to get it rectified economically ?
There is no economical way.

If your in UK try scan computers @%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;
www.scan.co.uk/products
How did it break? Did you drop it? Was it your fault? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you're going to have to fork over some money and buy a new laptop.
If you didn't do any of those things, then call the company and find out their policy. Hopefully it's not a Dell, or you're screwed.
Check your records. If you bought it new, you got a warranty. You may be able to get it fixed or replaced at no cost.
Even without a written warranty, you may have some leverage. The Uniform Commercial Code applies to product liability. There is the expected warranty of merchantability theory, meaning that the product is supposed to do what it is designed to do for the generally expected amount of time. Ten years is the expected useful life.
If you are a resident of the USA, contact the consumer protection bureau in the state where you live, if you get no satisfaction from the manufacturer, and file a complaint. If no such bureau in your state, contact the state's Attorney General.
Depending on how the computer got damaged, you may also have coverage in your Homeowners' Insurance policy. Example: the computer is in the back of a station wagon. The vehicle gets rearended by another vehicle. You have coverage for vehicle damage to personal property.
I'd call HP before anything, if the laptop is under warranty. Otherwise they will charge you an arm and a leg for a new screen.

Need advice! how can i get my cat to stop urinating in the same place? this has been infrequent lately.?
i have tried nature's miracle, baking soda, i clean the carpet immediately, and he STILL keeps going. it's either during the night or when we're gone. i don't think it's a uti because it is in one place and it has been since my husband moved in after we married a few weeks ago. i think it's a territorial issue. please help my sanity!!! :)Need advice! how can i get my cat to stop urinating in the same place? this has been infrequent lately.?
The cat can still smell his scent in the same spot even though you cleaned it really well. the odor is still in the carpet padding. If you have a deep vac carpet cleaner try that or rent one, that worked for me, it got the odor out of the padding which I could not get to with regular cleaning products.Need advice! how can i get my cat to stop urinating in the same place? this has been infrequent lately.?
try changing what u clean it with the smell of some cleaning things make the cat want to pee there
If the cat is a male he is ';marking'; so if you have him neutered by your vet he should stop.
These problems are difficult to solve. One method that I've used is to put down a bunch of aluminum foil so that cat can't get near the spot without stepping on it. They don't like walking on it.
Is your cat fixed? Neutering may help also.
Sounds like your cat is trying to tell you something...hehe
Hmmm...if Nature's Miracle didn't work-then you might need to just cover the spot. Hopefully it's in a convenient place to do that.
get this no-go house breaking aid. we have it and it works wonderful. all you do is spray it on the spot that your dog is going and just walk away from it and repeat it when your dog dose it again then put his nose in it and say no no or bad dog then put him or her outside for a little while then go back to the spot and spray then let your dog in.
get him nutered
get your cat to the vet to be sure it isn't a uti. you may have to retrain your cat to use the litterbox by confining him to the bathroom or a small room with his litterbox and some water.
at least your cat isn't peeing on your husband
Clean the litterbox! Really...I have a cat and she has no problem using the litter box. I try to clean mine out every night, or every other night. Your cat will be much happier, and you will too. =)
I know this is wierd but my male cat spayed the carpet once. I got mad and the only thing that was close was wd40 so I sprayed it at him (not on him) and than the carpet. Never happend again. So try maybe something with a not so natural smell.
Put a litter box in that spot ?!?
Maybe getting it fixed might help if it is not fixed.
I sprayed nature's miracle on it, then set something large on the spot so my cat couldn't get to it, and shut him in a room with his litter box for a few nights. He got back into the habit of using his litterbox in a few days.
i had the same problem with my cat , behavior problem, in fact today she topped all of her behavior problems...i will write a question on it, but i was told by the vet to put them in the bathroom and shut her in with the litterbox until she knows where to go.....
take to a veteye makeup remover

I would like advice on how to start babysitting.?
hi my name is alex and i am 12 years old and have been through CPR classes and am ready to start babysitting. ADVICE ON HOW TO START.I would like advice on how to start babysitting.?
Ok Alex, get ready because its very long, but lots of useful information.
Babysitting Tips
My Rates
1-2 kids ~ $5.00/hour
Each additional child ~ $1.25/hour
*When you are babysitting a baby under 10 months old, you should ask to be paid a bit more than your regular charge, since you must give more attention, change the baby, feed the baby, and put the baby to bed.
Tips for babysitting
(ages 10monts- 1 year)
Games you can play: Toys that make noise, big blocks, pat-a-cake, and you can watch movies.
*Safety Tips:
* Always check for toys for loose or broken parts and sharp edges.
* Watch kids carefully during play. They may choose toys that are inappropriate for their age, especially if there is an older brother or sister in the house.
* Watch kids who are playing together.
Food (babies)
* Older babies usually eat solid foods as well as take a bottle.
* Ask the parents if the baby gets the bottle or the food first.
* Babies are messy eaters and need a bib.
* Buckle baby in high chair before feeding.
* Give the baby only the food the parents suggest and only as much as they suggest.
* Put a small amount of food on a spoon and place it well back on the baby鈥檚 tongue so he/she won鈥檛 spit it out.
2-3 years old
Games:
Ride-on-toys, push-pull toys, water toys, picture books, simple puzzles, hide and go seek, rolling and catching ball, movies or watching t.v.
Food
Toddlers usually have 3 meals a day, with morning, afternoon, and bedtime snacks.
* At this age, kids will be trying new foods, but the foods may still have to be mashed or chopped.
4-5 years old
Games:
Puppets, costumes, masks, play dishes, crayons and paper, arts and crafts, moves, dress-up, 1-spy, playing store, tricycles, wagons, skipping ropes, hula-hoops, roller skating, Barbie鈥檚, toy trucks, and movies.
Pre-schoolers foods
* Give the child the meals and snacks the parents have left.
* Give the child small servings.
* Don鈥檛 rush the child who is eating and don鈥檛 force him/her to eat everything on his/her plate.
* Get the older pre-schooler to help you set the table or prepare the meal or snack.
* If you have to prepare the meal, choose at least one serving from the four food groups in Canada鈥檚 Food Guide.
Safety Tips
To reduce choking
* Cut smooth or round foods into smaller pieces lengthwise so they won鈥檛 get caught in the child鈥檚 windpipe. Change the round shape of foods such as sausages, wieners, and grapes by cutting in half.
* Have the toddler sit quietly when eating. Running, laughing, or walking can cause choking while eating.
IF parents have asked you to prepare a meal, cook safely
* Know how to turn the stove or appliance on and off.
* Keep pot handles turned toward the back of the stove.
* Don鈥檛 overheat or leave cooking fats unattended.

Getting along with kids
Crying
If the baby starts to cry, try giving her a bottle, check to see if her diaper is too tight, or dirty, and try to hold him/her. Call the parents if the baby continues to cry longer than 15-20 minutes.
Colic
If the baby is crying in his crib, his tummy is tense and his knees are drawn up, rub his back or tummy gently, pick him up and walk around, or put him/her in the carrier and rock him back and forth.
Teething
If the baby鈥檚 cheeks are bright red, and is crying, and chewing his/her blanket, give her/him a teething ring, give a teething biscuit(either or), try soothing her by rubbing her back, carry her around the house and speak to her softly, call the parents if you can鈥檛 settle her down.
Shyness
IF the child starts to cry when the parents leave, speak to her softly and soothingly, tell her that her parents will be home soon. Approach her gently and quietly.
Temper Tantrums
If the child is throwing a fit and starts screaming, make sure he鈥檚 not close to the furniture or stairwell, and let him tire himself out.
Refuses to go to sleep
If the child doesn鈥檛 go to bed at her bedtime, leave her alone, she will eventually go to bed when she is ready, make sure you follow up her bedtime routine, read her and extra story, and give her a back rub.
Night Mares
If the child is having a nightmare, make sure that everything is ok, stay with her for a while, and leave the light on when you put her back to bed.
Bedwetting
If the child wets the bed, help her clean it up, change her bed, and reassure to him that its ok.
** Don鈥檛 ever say or do anything to embarrasse the child who wets the bed.
Refuses to share toys
If the child grabs a toy from her younger sister or brother, tell her you know its her toy, but her little sister wants to play with it too, try to interest both kids in a different activity.
Fighting
If the children start to fight, leave them alone, they can work it out themselves, separate them afterwards if it doesn鈥檛 end, don鈥檛 take sides, and try to interest both kids in a different activities.
Power Struggles
IF the child is testing you and won鈥檛 do anything you ask her to do, try to get her on your side, ask her to show you her favourite game and give her as much guidance as you can, and pay attention to her.
** Older kids may resent having a babysitter because they think they can look after themselves. Be understanding but FIRM.
Finding Work
To find work when you're getting started, ask around. Maybe your neighbours or others you know have heard of sitting jobs. When looking for work, be careful:
*Don't ever advertise. Anyone could take your name or number. Not all people have good intentions
* Don't sit for people you don't know or who haven't been recommended. Babysitting for strangers you don't know could be risky if you know nothing about them.
*Meet with family before agreeing to babysit for them. Even if you are referred by someone you know, you may not like the situation in the home or attitude of the parents, or you may just not feel right about it. If so, don't take the job.I would like advice on how to start babysitting.?
For one..change your screen name..
Babysit for your friends and relatives, then use them as references to branch out. Put up ads at laundromats, coffee shops, the local library and the grocery store bulletin board.
Make sure you have LOTS of patience.
Good luck!
First of all u need a baby!
I've taken classes at the red cross, the YMCA, and the library
they posted something on-line for me but we also made fliers and if you are really serious about babysitting you could make business cards and tell your friends and family to spread the word

I'm going to Costa Rica!!! Any advice on how to have the best time there?
I'll be going to Costa Rica soon and will stay there for two weeks. What can you tell me about the food, people, security there? I heard that it is rainy season right now, is that true?
Also, I'm thinking about skydiving there but is it safe to skydive in a developing country? Thank you!!!I'm going to Costa Rica!!! Any advice on how to have the best time there?
Its nice if you can go to some beaches and you can get some surf lessons really cheap too from local people at beaches and its nice if you can check out a volcano and the cloud forest and just have fun. Below are some links that can help you do some research for planning your trip and the food here for breakfast its pretty simple but really good rice with black beans with eggs and coffee, really good and lunch and dinner is similar to other Latin foods but not spicy. The people are really nice most people here are catholic or Christians so they are pretty nice, they listen to all types of music. The part that is a little dangerous to walk alone at night is the capitol San Jose the city you don't want to walk alone in some parts of the city at night but in general its a very safe country, millions of visitors come every year and have a great time. Its a democratic country like the states and there is no military no wars no guerrillas so its a very safe place.

Unfortunately yes it is rainy season but is doesn't mean you can't have a great time. Try to do most of your activities in the morning there is less chance of rain. For example if your going to Arenal the best time to see the volcano this time of the year is early morning 6ish. On the golden coast, Guanacaste, it usually doesn't rain on the beach till well in the afternoon. And if your planning on driving take extra precautions the roads aren't like the ones here in the States.
Food is simple but good. Typical breakfast includes Pinto (rice and beans) and fried eggs.... sounds weird but its good. Costa Rica offers some of the best coffee so don't miss out and I love there natural juices... try something new like Cas, Mora or Maracuya. The Caribbean side offers a lot of tasty flavorful food even there rice and beans has a twist to it with coconut flavor and spice.
Most people are great, but remember there is a little of everything in every country. But for the most part their Pura Vida! (which means pure life, very common phrase) Depends on where you go you might find that they lack service.... I don't think they've got the costumer service part down yet.
I always feel safe in Costa Rica. But I always steer clear of downtown San Jose, especially at night. Just take the normal precaution you would take in any place.... try not to look so touristy either.
Ummm I don't know anything about the skydiving but I haven't heard of any accidents yet.
Hope you have fun and enjoy the trip!

I have sinus congestion and I have to sing in 3 hours... Any advice how to clear things up?
i agree.....steam inhalation. worked a treat for me.I have sinus congestion and I have to sing in 3 hours... Any advice how to clear things up?
Use Eucalyptus Oil in steam inhalation. Breath and inhale the aromatic flavor herbs into your lung of the oil. Mix the oil in a hot temperature water and inhale the vapor of the steam. Do it every morning and before sleep until the congestion is relief. :). You can try it before you sing 3 hours early. :).

How do you know if you are going crazy or if your depression is bad enough to seek medical advice?
First, and foremost, if you think you need help you probably do...or at least you should check it out. If the symptoms you are expressing are interfering with your daily living you probably do need help. However, don't call yourself crazy, that has a negative connotation and starts you down a wrong road from the beginning making it more difficult to begin the healing process. Thinking positive from the start is important, especially when facing depression.
You can talk to your primary care doctor if you have one -- s/he can help sort through the feelings with you and, if it is a simple case of depression, s/he can prescribe a medication, recommend a therapist or both to help you out. If you are on a campus -- go to the campus health center -- they usually have a mental health center -- and usually those records are kept separate from your general medical records. Or you could go to the local county/city mental health center or call them and ask for the intake office and set up an appointment for a screening.
Some of the major warning signs would be 5 or more of the following every day: depressed mood most of the day; marked loss of interest in most of the day's activities; sleeping to much or too little; not eating or overeating; losing -- when not dieting or gaining 5% of body weight in a month; psychomotor agitation or retardation -- i.e. restlessness or listlessness not moving around; fatigue or loss of energy; feelings of worthlessness or excessive or inappropriate guilt; diminished ability to think or concentrate or indeciveness; recurrent thoughts of death, suicidal ideation, or a suicide attempt.
The above is from the DSM-IV - Diagnostic and Statistical Manual that is used for diagnosing Mental Health Disorders.
So, think about whether or not your daily functioning is impaired and exactly whether you feel you need help -- and to be safe -- talk to someone.
Good luck!
MichelleHow do you know if you are going crazy or if your depression is bad enough to seek medical advice?
If your really depressed then you do need to see a dr. or psychiatrist. Sometimes we just get stressed out and can go crazy and thats ok. depression affects your everyday life, and you feel hopeless, worthless. You can have trouble sleeping, concentrating, and even can have thoughts of hurting yourself or others. If you have these symtoms for a month or longer than you do need to seek medical help. How do you know if you are going crazy or if your depression is bad enough to seek medical advice?
The ';depression'; that you experiencing is called life!
It doens't always go your way, it isn't all joy and happiness, it isn't always interesting...
Life is exactly what you make it.
Unless you can't eat, can't sleep, can't function at all because you are so depressed - you don't need medical advice...
You need to put some effort in.
no one who is depressed is ';going crazy';. and it doesnt matter your level of depression you always need to seek help, whether it be friends, people in the church, or professionals. you shouldnt wait until you think your depression is bad enough to seek help. anytime you feel that way you should talk to someone. even something as simple as talking can help. but my opinion would be that only you can tell how bad your depression is and you should seek help, but you should keep your friends and family around and involved because they may be the ones to get you through it
They answer that we give to all our patients is that if any condition whether it is physical or mental, causes you concern, then it is time to seek medical attention. If the depression is affecting your ability to function on a day to day basis or reaches the point of suicidal thoughts, even fleeting ones, need to be addressed.
Ask yourself this...do you still care and enjoy your daily activities and possessions? Do you feel all alone?
You can try to help yourself by writing in a journal. Some people can reflect back in it and see what might be causing the problem and others just like to vent in a journal and that helps them relax.
You can check your local hospital sometimes they offer group sessions or workshops on dealing with depression.
Make sure you eat right, get sleep, and try to get some exercise.
If that doesn't help then yes please seek medical advise.
It can't hurt you to seek medical advice. In fact, I would suggest it... if you are wondering how depressed you have to be to seek help, you are probably already depressed enough. I'd say when in doubt go see a doctor! It's always better to be safe than sorry! Good luck!
If you're asking this question, then it's time to get help. Go to a counselor. They have a way of showing you a different way of looking at a situation. No magic to it, just an experienced objective observer. Peace and revelation to you.
The barstard is that if you are together enough to ask, then you don't need help. When you slip beyond thinking if you need to ask, then it's too late.
If it interferes with your daily activity you need to seek help.
Just go seek medical advice they'll sort you out, x
Get professional help they will get to the bottom of your feelings and know what is best for you. Good Luck

Does anyone have advice on how to write a childrens book?
I have started writing a small childrens book for 4-8 year olds. It's about one characters adventures in his big house. I'm writing it in the present tense and the story really has no plot, it's just his adventures in his house from morning until he goes to bed. What other kind of advice could I get from parents of 4 to 8 year olds? thanksDoes anyone have advice on how to write a childrens book?
You should make the plot about how the character loses his favorite toy in his big house in goes in many crazy rooms and he finally finds his favorite toy in a room.
You could make the rooms; a pet room, a shirts room a pants room a swimming room a bouncy room!!
Good luck writing your bookDoes anyone have advice on how to write a childrens book?
I'm not a parent, but maybe you could throw in something that he learns? or possibly he is exploring the house, and finds new things in the rooms?
Make it not too long and use not complicated words.
Credit me as 60spaure in ur book! (just kidding)eye makeup remover

Good luck!

If your in UK try scan computers @%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;

How long does it take to finish dental assistant courses, need advice fast?
I am wanting to become a certified dental assistant and then move on to become a hygenist. There has been courses offered around where I live that lasts like 10 weeks, which seems so short. I was interested in them but didnt have the time to pick them up during the time they were offered. I found out that the college i will be attending next semester offeres the dental assistant courses but it may be too late for me to register for them. Do they last like one full semester at colleges or for a full year? How long does it take to finish dental assistant courses, need advice fast?
It will probably depend on the requirements of the state you live in, so it's pretty hard to say.

I keep getting strept throught is there any advice how to not keep getting it?
every time i get it i also get a cold sore i am getting so fed up being on antbioticsI keep getting strept throught is there any advice how to not keep getting it?
Are you taking the full course of antibiotics each time you get strep? If you're not, then you could have an antibiotic-resistant strain related to only taking part of the course of antibiotics.
Otherwise, talk to your doctor. You may need to have your tonsils taken out, or you may need a stronger antibiotic - if you're taking the full ten days of amoxicillin or whatever is being prescribed, and the bacteria is still hanging out in your throat, there's another case of strep just waiting to strike. Your doctor may be able to run another throat culture after you finish your antibiotics and see if the bacteria is completely gone.I keep getting strept throught is there any advice how to not keep getting it?
You are like me, I catch strep very easily! Wash your hands alot, stay away from people who have strep. That is all you can do! Good Luck!
Maybe you need to take your tonsils out....Or maybe try getting more vitamins in your diet.
The most important thing you can do for yourself is start a vitamin and mineral program. The next important thing is start a series of probiotics. If you can, stop taking anti-biotics.
Your immune system is down...that's what your strep throat is telling you. Cold sores, too, flare up when the system is not strong enough to fight the re-infections.
The immune system is your body's own fighting machine. It needs certain things to stay strong. The average diet today is lacking in many essentials to maintain the immune system in peak condition. Foods are overcooked, overprocessed and grown in depleted fields. Add to that the stress of everyday life, and you have an immune system that is part of your illness.
Get a good multi-vitamin/mineral formula. In case you don't know what I mean by 'good' call PURITAN'S PRIDE (a vitamin company) and ask them to send you a catalog. In the catalog you will find a number of good vitamin formulas. Study them to learn about what can and should be in a multi-vitamin/mineral formula. There are some OK vitamins in the drug store, and you can decide where to get them after you learn what to look for. You can use vitamin catalogs almost as text books. Many of them advise what to take for certain things, joints, vision, strong bones, etc.
Another good vitamin company is SWANSON Health Products. They also have multi-vitamins and they have Probiotics. Probiotics are the good bacteria that live in your intestines and help you digest food properly. When you take anti-biotics they kill the bad AND the good bacteria. Then your immune system can't be strong enough to fight the infections because your food is not being absorbed properly.
I'll stop here and give you the numbers for the above two companies. Help yourself to good health. Call for these catalogs then get started.

An iodine based gargle like Betadine kills strep before it takes hold. My sympathies.
What has been done to determine why your resistance is so low.. Is it a confirmed strep infection? There is apparently an underlying condition which prevents you from fighting off infection.. the immune system primarily. Being rather sluggish.. May want to get another opinion and start looking for the cause rather than treating the results.
when i was younger and i didn't sleep or eat properly I ended up with strep everytime I caught a cold. Now I find at the first hint of the sniffles I take care of it, relax sleep, eat well and take my vitamins I wont get.
Wash your hands more to, that goes for alot of illnesses

I need to figure out how to get some money from my parents so I can go shopping with my friends. Any advice?
I don't really want to get a job and getting one is real hard right now anyway. I need money from my parents and I don't know how to get it. I just keep wondering how all of my friends have so much and I have nothing.I need to figure out how to get some money from my parents so I can go shopping with my friends. Any advice?
tell them is for a science project lolI need to figure out how to get some money from my parents so I can go shopping with my friends. Any advice?
Speaking from a parents point-of-view, I would gladly give my 14 yr old son an allowance if he would do his chores!!! And without attitude! Anyway, talk to your parents about an allowance and see what their expectations are. And keep in mind the economic situation these days. I know that when money is tight, my husband and I try to keep those worries quiet from our boys because we don't want them to worry. But sometimes, there is only money available to do the things NECESSARY to keep the house going and not much left to ';play'; with or to give allowances. And that can make a parent feel very bad and defeated so try to keep that in mind. If money is no object to your parents, then just ask about the allowance and go from there. Good luck!
you could do chores... or if you want the responcibility of being able to buy your own things then dont be lazy and make it happen and get a job. you need to learn the value of money, not rely on others.
Make a deal with them to do some work around the house for some spending money. They might go for it.
tell them its for a school project.

I caught my very first Brown Trout today and need advice on how to prepare it to cook and eat any ideas?
2 trout fillets
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoons garlic salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 fresh jalapeno pepper, sliced
1 lemon, sliced
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Rinse fish, and pat dry.
Rub fillets with olive oil, and season with garlic salt and black pepper. Place each fillet on a large sheet of aluminum foil. Top with jalapeno slices, and squeeze the juice from the ends of the lemons over the fish. Arrange lemon slices on top of fillets. Carefully seal all edges of the foil to form enclosed packets. Place packets on baking sheet.
Bake in preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the size of fish. Fish is done when it flakes easily with a fork.
Serves 2.

Put a bit of butter and lemon pepper with the trout in tin foil and cook over a bead of coals in the campfire. Just be sure not to get it too close to the coals or else it will burn.
Congrats on the Brown. Probably one of my favorite trout. How big was it?

How to get over him,advice?
I need some advice on how to get over this guy. I mean, everyone knows how hard it is to get over someone. This isn't some stupid high school girl problem. i thought and still think im in love with him. i just need help.
PS. this guy goes to my school, so i see him everyday.
advice would be nice. How to get over him, advice?
put any pictures, letters, gifts, or anything that reminds you of him, delete his number, and write it down his number so if you change your mind to be just friends just in case then put it inside a show box. and give it you your close friend so you wont look at it. Hang out with your friends and much as you can, go on small not too serious dates, find a new hobby, buy new clothes and make him jealous or something lol
oh and dont hang were he hang in school, take a different route around school. Hmm he must of done something to make you not want to be with him anymore, oh well hope this helps :)How to get over him, advice?
flirt with someone else.... that way he doesn't think your still obsessed with him....when i was in high school i used to just think of it like i never knew the man..ignoring his calls, ignoring my thoughts of him, ignoring him, literally his presance.. it was harsh, but it helped my heart heal quick... think of all the bad things he did to you and learn from it... if you dont wanna get hurt like a ***** then date like a man, get over him and move on honey...
i dont think there is a specific way to get over someone.
a few months ago, i was engaged, and i was craaazzzyyy in love.
but in time we broke up.. and im not over him at all.
i dont think you ever get over someone you really loved.
you just have to hope it gets better in time, and try to focus your attention on school or work or friends.
avoid seeing him, if you do just play it cool as if he's not there. don't listen to depressing music, just go out with your friends just to remind you how much they love you and how much you don't need him.
Maybe find a new guy and you'll forget all about the other one. (Been there done that it worked) But idk.. it doesnt wrk for everyone

This is something you need to take up with your boyfriend. You can't do anything except ask him not to. And it's up to him to honor your request.

It's not your call to stop it. He is the one who has to say ';no more' If this guy really loved you as you say you wouldn't have to ask him. Think about that!

I'll be in Rome for a year. During that time I would like to visit Venice. Any advice on how to go about that?
Okay, I have been to Italy before...Rome, Florence, and Assisi. I would really like to visit all of Italy but I am on a strict budget. So I chose Venice to travel to while I'm in Rome for a year. Any ideas on how much a trip to Venice would cost (be there for about a week maybe)? I am very low maintenance, but would like to visit all the museums and sights. I'm thinking I would probably stay in a youth hostel. Any idea on the conditions of the hostels in Venice? Are they nice for a hostel?
Also, what are the best times of the year to go? What would be the best way to get me there (i.e. train, bus...)? And any other general advice is much appreciated. Thanks!I'll be in Rome for a year. During that time I would like to visit Venice. Any advice on how to go about that?
I personally believe that 2-3 days will be enough to visit rather deeply both Venice and surrounding area (islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello).
I've no idea about hostels but unless you want go over there the first days you'll be in Italy I guess you'll have more than a single opportunity to get detailed infos from people that have stayed in any of Venice's hostels
http://www.hostelscentral.com/city-136.h鈥?/a>
http://www.hostelsclub.com/city-en-194-V鈥?/a>
The best time to go there is during May-June (late spring) or in Sept.-Oct. (early fall)
No discussions on the best way to get you there.
Take a train (ES = Eurostar -You'll need to book seat and ticket in advance) - The cost of the ticket is abt. 100 Euro ( 2nd class- standard fare - there and back) This is the link for yr immediate checking
http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.htmlI'll be in Rome for a year. During that time I would like to visit Venice. Any advice on how to go about that?
When we were in Venice, we stayed at a really cute youth hostel with dorm style rooms and stuff. We also purchased Rick Steves ';Italy'; travel book and he gave us a lot of tips on places to go, how to travel, eat etc-and for the most part, they were inexpensive. If you're going to to Italy for a year, it would be a wise investment to buy this book and I gave you another link for another helpful youth hostel sight.
better to travel by train...but check on frequent strikes...consult the site www. trenitalia.it for schedule and prices.save if you are a student... sleeping in venice can be very very expensive...i suggest you stop in the city of Mestre (5 minutes by train or bus from venice) and save some money... best time is spring or winter... as other options near venice for sleeping and saving check Treviso (20 minutes by train).. venice can be seen in three days if you are a good walker.. wear very conf shoes...if you take the vaporetto (the water bus) it is going to cost you 5 euros.
do not miss the Ducal Palace, the Saint mark's square and basilica, and the rialto bridge.
Hop on the night train and you'll get there in the morning.
The trains are very reasonable and fun in Italy.
There is a hostel, but it isn't on the mainland. Just don't going during the peak tourist season or it'll be too crowded.
Ciao,
nice to talk with you, please check the ryanair website, it is a low cost airplane company, I went to venice last year with then , you arrive at Treviso airport and then 30/40 minutes ( it depends on the traffic jam) you are in Venice using the bus. A return ticket costed me 50 euro.
Spring is the best period, let's say April.
Ciao and buon viaggio
I'd suggest you go in late March/ early April (but not exactly over Easter). Try a guesthouse (casa di accoglienza) of a religious congregation (nuns). They are sometimes as cheap as hostels and offer better conditions.Good luck!
I went to the Central Hotel. I think it was nice and cheaper than the hotel on the island a lot. I took a bus to go to the island for 12 mins by the bus number 7. If you can go there around feb. 14 -21there is a nice time to go and see the Venice Carnival....
Ryanairs what the first said is the best i think :)
I took the train from Florence to Venice before. There are cheaper hotels then the hostels, so get a good guide book. The hostel was okay, but why do that if you can get hotel room?
Venice was my fav. I've been there twice before. I'm jealous!
Either by train or by a tour bus.

I've no idea about hostels but unless you want go over there the first days you'll be in Italy I guess you'll have more than a single opportunity to get detailed infos from people that have stayed in any of Venice's hostels

Should we ask Disneyland for advice on how to keep people out?
They have that place on LOCK DOWN! You cant sneak in there (for the most part) If Disneyland can do it, why the heck cant the USA do it?Should we ask Disneyland for advice on how to keep people out?
Ummm... yeah, Disneyland... apparently they opted to spend their money on defending their OWN borders... instead of going broke attempting to fix the delapidated fence at Magic Mountain.
Maybe our Government should take a lesson, eh?Should we ask Disneyland for advice on how to keep people out?
Disney spends millions to keep everyone out of a few hundred acres of land.
We should ask them how they successfully enforce PAYMENT from EVERY PERSON who enters - payment for every potential 'goody' these 'entrants' enjoy or intend to enjoy.
Good Grief! What kinda Mickey Mouse Organization IS this that's runnin' our government?
...
Pretty soon we won't need to - this country is already turning to crap and no one will want to live here.
